Difference between HD TV and full HD TV

What is the difference between "HD Ready" and "Full HD" in TVs? What other devices do you need besides TV to watch a video in full HD?

Indicates "HD Ready" or 720p image resolution to describe a television or monitor. The term "HD" is also commonly used. 720p image resolution contains 720 lines of pixels on the vertical axis and 1,280 lines of pixels on the horizontal axis. Thus, the image is 720 pixels high and 1,280 pixels wide. It has a total of 921,600 pixels. This is the lowest image resolution that can be considered as high definition or HD.

The difference between HD Ready (or HD), Full HD and Ultra HD is as follows:

HD: 720p image resolution (1,280 x 720 pixels - approximately 1 million pixels)

Full HD: 1080p image resolution (1,920 x 1,080 pixels - approximately 2 million pixels)

Ultra HD: 4K image resolution (3,840 x 2,160 pixels - approximately 8 million pixels)

The more pixels an image has, the better. This is because with more pixels, an image can be displayed at a larger size without affecting the resolution of the image. The more pixels in a given area the fewer pixels visible in an image - this is called a "retina display". On a retina display, there are more pixels than a human eye can see in a particular area.

What is the difference between HD and Full HD in practice? For example, consider this: 50 "Television with 1080p image resolution will be clearer than 50" Television with 720p image resolution. Also, the 1080p Retina display is physically larger than the 720p Retina display because the total pixels are higher. For the best picture quality possible, Standard High Definition offers the best Full HD.
